EV Realty Hires Former Meta, PG&E Leader Gelberg Rodriguez as Vice President of Engineering & Construction

Rodriguez joins EV Realty to lead implementation of future-proof charging infrastructure solutions for fleet and utility customers

San Francisco, CA – EV Realty, Inc. (“EV Realty”), an EV infrastructure development platform purpose-built to maximize electric power availability for critical commercial fleets, today announced the addition of Gelberg Rodriguez to its executive team, serving as VP of Engineering & Construction for the Company.

‍Rodriguez brings a deep technical expertise to the role, having previously served as Data Center Design Engineering Manager at Meta, and as Manager of Project Delivery with PG&E’s Clean Energy Transportation team. Rodriguez has nearly two decades of experience in a range of technical and engineering leadership roles, including the utility sector, electric vehicle charging infrastructure, bridge design and public works projects, as well as hyperscale data center design.

‍”We are excited to bring on board Gelberg, who has unparalleled on-the-ground expertise scaling a range of construction and engineering projects on the power grid,” said Patrick Sullivan, co-founder and CEO of EV Realty. “There is a massive need for the electric grid to transform and adapt in order to support fully electric fleets, and we look forward to partnering with Gelberg as we build out our network of Powered Properties.™”

‍At Meta, Rodriguez led hyperscale data center design schedule optimization efforts; at PG&E he oversaw the Clean Energy Transportation Project Delivery team, responsible for execution of various EV infrastructure programs totalling nearly $400 million for the northern California utility.

‍”So much talk in the clean energy space centers around the move to electric vehicles, without recognizing the massive infrastructure required to power these commercial fleets,” said Rodriguez. “EV Realty’s vision to develop grid-scale charging infrastructure spoke to me as a huge opportunity, and I’m looking forward to working with Patrick and team to make this vision a reality.”

‍At EV Realty, Rodriguez will be responsible for design and project engineering, construction management and commissioning of the Company’s multi-fleet charging hubs and utility charging projects.

‍Rodriguez, who is based in the Bay Area, graduated from the University of California Berkeley with a degree in civil engineering, and holds masters degrees from the University of Texas at Austin and the University of Illinois. An active community member, Rodriguez received the Frederick W. Mielke, Jr. Award for Outstanding Community Service while at PG&E, which is the company’s highest honor for community service.

The latest hire comes on the heels of several key additions to its leadership team. Recently, EV Realty hired Jim Ludovico as Chief Customer Officer; Suncheth Bhat as Chief Business Officer; and Alec Maghami as Director of Real Estate Capital Markets.

‍Rodriguez started in his role at EV Realty on May 1.
